Slippery Dumplings in Broth


Ingredients

  • DUMPLING:
  • 1 cup CBF Baking Mix
  • 1 Tbs copha
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup lukewarm water
  • BROTH:
  • 4 cups water
  • 2 tsp CBF Chicken Consomme
  • 1/4 cup peas

Directions

  • DUMPLING:
  • In a mixing bowl, combine baking mix, salt and blend in copha.
  • Add water, a small amount at a time, until dough is soft but not sticky; knead well. 
  • Roll very thin on floured surface. If needed, dust with baking mix while rolling to prevent sticking. Cut into squares.
  • BROTH:
  • In a sauce pan, combine water and chicken consomme and bring to a boil. 
  • Reduce heat and gently place dumplings into broth. Cook 15 minutes in broth.
  • Add peas once dumplings are cooked and cook 2 minutes longer.
  • NOTE: If made without peas, protein is 0.3 g, phe is 2 mg, leu is 5 mg.
